When a Design Engineer stepped into the workshop
I was lucky to be part of Hurstbourne Forge – a team of skilled people designing and manufacturing everything from custom boat brackets to components for a prototype of new Bugatti (yes, those supercars).
During a particularly hectic period, I was working on a major project with just two days to complete it. With time running out, I stepped into the workshop, rolled up my sleeves, and put on a pair of gloves.
That’s when it happened – a rush of childhood memories flooded back. I remembered hours spent in my father’s tiny workshop, tinkering with my bike or crafting a wooden heart for Mother’s Day. The sheer joy of creating or fixing something was magical.
That feeling never left me. Before long, I bought my first welding machine and started making home gym equipment in my garage. The satisfaction of using tools I had built myself was incredible.
And here I am today – with my own workshop. It’s nothing like my father’s, yet it carries the same spirit of creativity and dedication. Professionally equipped and run by a dedicated team, we create precise, high-quality parts for our customers.
I’ve come to realise that everyone should experience the joy of creating—whether it’s painting, planting trees, or shaping raw metal. Especially when we create for others.
That’s why my mission is clear: to craft precision-made products that stand the test of time. Every customer deserves exceptional service, and every product must be nothing short of perfect.
Because in the end, it’s not just about metal—it’s about people, trust, precision, and creating something that truly lasts.

My journey
2023 - present
The continuation of this story is described in the chapter above. Thank you for your time and for reading.
2018 - 2023
Since 2018, I have been working as a freelance CAD designer. In late 2020, I moved from Slovakia to the UK, where I have been gaining more experience in CAD and collaborating with local companies.
09/2012 - 05/2015
I attended a technical university in the heart of Europe (Slovakia), where we initially created engineering drawings by hand on paper. Later, we transitioned to 3D modeling using CATIA software. The university provided me with an excellent technical foundation.
